Our Client Reviews of Camping Tucan
We have just returned from our third visit to camping Tucan we are a family of nine, 2 teenagers 2 seven year olds and five adults. We traveled by plane and booked the Siesta lodges. We had two eight berth cabins, very spacious with two bathrooms and large balconies. The reps were there to meet us the same reps as the last three years it's like going to see old friends Gary Laura and Hannah they are the most friendliest reps you would ever wish to meet. Nothing is to much trouble for them. The lodges very very clean and very well equipped. We had a problem with one of the ovens this was this was promptly replaced. The site its self is very clean and well maintained. Food and drink from the bar was very good and reasonabley priced and the staff very helpful. We are already planing our next visit. A big thank you to Gary Laura and their team for the hard work they do making sure every one has a good holiday

Travelled with siesta, all good. Camp small compared to others that siesta do and only entertainment was on on a weekend when the camp was full of Spanish, the onsite shop was closed but there is one a 5 minute walk and another across the road. There is also a big Chinese cheap is shop next to the Dia shop, got a few bargains in there. Siesta reps good, wouldn't revisit though as we found it too small and nothing really outside if you didn't want to walk. Would recommend the local buses to visit Blanes and Tossa de mar only €1:85 each way and well worth a visit
KerryJames - September 2015
Arrived at camping tucan and was met by our siesta reps, Gary and Laura, both very helpful and a credit to siesta! The site itself was lovely, pools very clean infact the whole site was very clean, all staff very friendly, food served is very nice and the ice cream selection went down a treat, very reasonable prices. Kids loved the water slides although they are closed for a few hours every day so that the lifeguards get a break because the slides always have a lifeguard at the top, ideal if worried about the kids. We stayed from 27 August until 4 September so I know it's almost out of season but the entertainment could have been better, it didn't cater very much for the English guests, didn't bother us too much though as we went out to eat every evening just stopping for a couple of drinks when we returned. Two supermarkets within few minutes walking distance outside of site, we used consum, very reasonable prices and great selection. All in all great little site just could do with little better entertainment for English guests, would recommend though!

This is the first time we have travelled with Siesta Holidays and it won’t be the last. We stayed here for a week there was nine of us in our party 5 adults and four girls aged 6, 12, 13 and 14. We were allocated two eight berth lodges which are very spacious and clean they have everything you need including a bbq. The reps Laura and Gary were the best ever, nothing to much trouble they were always to be seen around the site. I asked about hiring a mobility scooter when I arrived and Gary said he would find out 3 hours later one was delivered for me, no trouble. Siesta lodges are near the pool area, the pools are excellent for children and adults. The bar is very reasonably priced and also did a good variety of good priced meals. There is a small super market on site where you can get all basic food about 100yards away there is two large supermarkets very good meat and fresh veg and fruit. It’s a good walk into Fanels which has plenty of shops and places to eat. The camp site was very well maintained the pool area was spotless all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will certainly go back again to this site
Josephine - September 2014
We were at Camping Tucan from 1st Aug to the 7th Aug 2013. What a fab site! We had a Siesta 6 Lodge and was more than room enough for 5 of us. Very clean and the air con was already on for our arrival, so when we arrived in 35 degrees it was really appreciated. Gary and Hazel were absolutely great, really welcoming and so funny! The life guards and the bar staff were great too, so friendly and most spoke good English as we needed the lifeguards' help when our little one fell and grazed her knee running, the lifeguard on duty that day called Carlos dealt with her with all the expertise of a nurse. Although it's not essential at this site, it may be an idea to try brushing up on your basic Spanish, if just to be polite, although the majority of staff spoke good English, understandably one or two of the staff did not. They also gave great entertainment day and night, the daytime aquagym in the pool etc. was fantastic and they involved everybody. On the night there was always something going on where the stage area was situated. The slide area was always manned at the top, not too high, very safe and was great fun for everyone. Gary and Hazel are a real credit to Siesta and Camping Tucan, nothing is too much trouble (gas bottle needed changing etc.) and always had a liitle chat if you saw them around and about the site. We had a bulb that needed replacing in the shower area, Gary was on to it straight away, really impressed. The bar/restaurant staff were also friendly and Jacquelin who worked in the site shop was a lovely lady, so friendly. The supermarkets nearby (Dia and Consum) were great value and very cheap, avg.90 cents for 8 litres of water was a bargain, so 3 Euros for our entire water usage for 5 people for a week. Just a tip for anyone making days out exploring etc., make good use of your large freezer compartment, empty all your water/juice in smaller bottles the night before (not fizzy!!), leave them an inch empty from the top and they should be nice and cool for your full journey! Another tip: you can use your cash passport cards to pay at this location, alternatively there is also a cash machine on site, around the back of the site shop. Once more cheers to Gary and Hazel for a great holiday. Miss you all we'll be back soon and hope to see you both again from the Foleys (with the strange accent from Hull!)
Room Tip: For a family of 4 or 5, a Siesta 6 Lodge is more than enough room, and the majority of the lodges with Siesta are situated close to all amenities(pool, reception, bar, shop etc.)
Paddy - Aug 2013
Third time booking with Siesta. I can`t recommend them enough. Great company even better reps this time. Hazel and Gary wonderful, welcoming and nothing to much trouble. Smaller site than used to but made up for with the pool and slide area. We are 2 adults and 2 kids 15 & 13 and they loved it, pool perfect temp and slides better than they look - and that's the kids words!! Entertainment so terrible it was funny but hey if they were good they would not be an a small resort in spain!!
Beach great and not too far, supermarket 5 mins from door and a trip to Mercasa recommended for all your holiday must buys. Water parks good went to Waterworld very busy but great and Marineland also busy and again our boys loved it. Went once into Lloret de Mar during day but not for us, Fenals great and had every thing we want.
Yes would go back and yes with Siesta and I hope Gary and Hazel are still there to welcome us.
Wendy - July 2013
Just got back today from Tucan with the wife and two kids the place was ace. We stayed with Siesta holidays, start of the season so was quiet but still loads for the kids to do.... Gary the rep for Siesta is ace..... would recommend this place only a couple of draw backs the place is located in Fennals which is about 40min walk with the kids to Lloret which we didn’t do and the food was poor best meal we had was at the pool bar at Tucan. All in all we might go back next year....
Matt – June 2013
Stayed here from 25th May for one week with the hubby, a 4 year old and a 10 year old. This is now the third time we have stayed with Siesta at Camping Tucan, the lodge itself is like a home from home.
We stayed in a 6 berth which consisted of a double bedroom and another bedroom with 2 single beds in, there is a folding bed in the living room but that wasn’t required by us. There were 2 toilets a kitchen with 4 hobs an oven and a microwave, there is also a very large fridge with a good size freezer. They also have a lovely veranda attached to the lodge which has a table with 4 normal garden chairs and 2 reclining chairs (plastic).
The pool area is very, very clean and there is enough to keep your child entertained. There is a big pool then there is a kiddie pool which has 2 little slides and 2 buckets that fill up and tip over your head (great for hangovers) then there is a small pool that sometimes has a few bubbles in, but the best thing is the 2 slides at the end. There is a double wavy slide that’s great to race on, then there is a twisty slide next to it. The best thing about the pool area is that there is only one way in and one way out, great if you have little ones.
The food is also great from the pool side bar and is also available to take away, chicken and chips is about 8.20 Euros and a pint of larger is 3.10 Euros. The staff are lovely and they all recognised us every time we go there and even get big hugs off them.
There are 2 great supermarkets just down the road, which are very reasonable priced, there is also a lovely Chinese restaurant just over the road. We didn’t have entertainment on at this time of year, but we were there last August when it was very busy (you had to cue to get a sunbed in the morning) there was a kiddies disco which lasted half an hour and was the same dance and songs each night. We loved this as a family and have book to go back next year, would also like to say that Gary and Hazel from Siesta are amazing and funny people.
Thanks for a great holiday.
Tammy – June 2013
Just returned from Tucan, after spending 7 nights with my son and hubby. The pool area was fab and a massive hit with my 11 year old especially the slides!! which the adults seem to enjoy too ;-).
Gary and Hazel our 2 reps were fab and helped as much as they could whenever asked. The lodges had everything you needed, they were also clean, tidy and spacious and located just behind the pool area.
The supermarket on site was closed all week but opens later in the season. There is a Dia and Consum supermarkets just 5 mins walk along the street but would highly recommend Consum as there was more selection and the staff were a lot more pleasant.
On park they do change money but we asked 3 times and was told the boss was the only one who could do it and he wouldn't be there til 8 at night but there is a cash point located at the side of the supermarket. There is also a English supermarket at Fenals which changes money too (next door to Roxy's).
Food on camp was nice and we ate there a few nights, however if you walk along to Fenals (about 20 mins) you will find Roxy's the food here is fantastic and I would definitely try the curry it was beautiful. All in all we had a fab relaxing time and my son wants to return next year so it’s now an option :-)
Sandra – May 2013
Most of the site is accessible to guests with wheelchairs or baby buggies. There is also a toilet on-site for disabled clients.
Our Siesta Lodges are located towards the front section of the site, close to the swimming pool, bar, restaurant, reception, entertainments area and main entrance. There is a step free route between all these areas. The route from the entrance to our Lodges has a slight incline.
Main access routes and roadways within the site are tarmac/hard surfaces and the aisles that lead from the central roadway to our lodges have sandy/gravelled surfaces.
Access from ground level into your Siesta Lodge is via stairs and we do not have lodges that are adapted for wheelchairs. If you would like any further advice on the suitability of our Lodges for your requirements our Sales Team would be pleased to help
